An early attendee at the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada, Nancy has presented her "Poems from Tuscarora" at both daytime and evening events. Her essay, “BorderLands: Cowboy Poetry and the Literary Canon'' is found in the anthology, Cowboy Poetry Matters.  She has published her poetry in a few literary journals but prefers to reach people who don’t particularly like poetry but do appreciate poetic observations about the land and life in high desert country, as well as observations about solitude, aging, bull snakes and bulls**t.
